Sheesh...after all the times I've sat and listened to my brother piss and moan about his breakup with Barb (just 2 months ago mind you) and all the calls prior to this for a year when he suspected this or that, I put off other activities to be there for him when he needed me, and now, when I could really use his shoulder for a change, he's more worried about some chick off the internet he hopes to meet this weekend and doesn't have the time for me.
Great....men....can't shoot them and get away with it.

If your brother is a good looking guy, then he should be beat for not being there for you.
If he is an ugly ass dude and has to find fat chicks on the net, then cut him some slack....a dude like that has to take it when he can get it......LMMFAO

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Hold it right there Redd, it is not a guy thing, my sister has been the same way to me, crying on my shoulder and pissing and wining about her relationship and when I needed her she was nowhere to be found and when I give her crap about it she acts like it is me that is being unreasonable. Maybe it is just a selfish thing, at least that’s what I think it is with my sister, she is just to rapped up in her life to be concerned with mine. I am sure if she started having problems she would come to me again but I think this time she would get a swift kick in the ass and told to deal with it just like I had to deal with my problems. Oops, I got off on a vent again didn’t I?
Well Redd I feel your pain it sucks to support someone when they need it, only to have them show no concern for you when you need the support.

OK..Ok...so it takes him a little bit of time to regain his sence of family...he just called and said he's on his way up....said he felt like a heal after he talked to me earlier.
My question...why do men think with their little heads 99.9% of the time?
He's in essance the only family I have left besides my kids and they are just that, kids.

Actually he just called again, and "she" emailed him with her phone number, and he stated point blank, that if she is free that he'll have to resind and meet up with her.
I'm so glad, as family, that after all I've done to be there for him, I ring in last. I can't wait the find out what this phone call entails because I'll let him have it. In spades....

Sorry, Pegg. I don't get it either. I have a brother who has been back here to his home state to visit his 89 year-old mother and his sister (me) just twice in the last 15 years. Once when our dad died, and once when his wife's mom died and he was just passing through anyway. Of course he calls our mother every couple of weeks for ten minutes, and I get an occasional email. He can afford more frequent visits too, and there have been no big feuds, so I can't figure it out. Like they say, you can't pick your family, so appreciate your friends. Your brother obviously doesn't appreciate what he has.
