Hi All,  Smiley

I think i know the reply`s i am likely to get  Grin , but here goes anyway.

On programs like overhauled (with chip foose)
& American chopper OCC they quite often use a very thin and flexible masking tape to mask out complex and intricate designs before spraying.

I am trying to find some for my bro in law but have not been able to.

All help gratefully accepted even the ones saying it is called masking tape  Tongue Tongue

Sadly not in England, we only have the white paper type masking tape that only goes down to about 1/2 an inch wide and what i am looking for is the vinyl type masking tape that is only a few mm wide.

You mean painters tape?  You can get that at Lowes or Home Depot in the painting dept.  I don't know the techincal name of it, cause my dad, who's a painter and wallpaper hanger, always called it painter's tape. LOL

Woops, didn't see you were from across the pond!  You can find the painters tape at a large home improvement store.  Does that help? LOL Grin

I see you're from England, well my friend the answer is pretty simple. Get into your car, take the chunnel into France, once there find the first french man you see and kick him in the nuts as hard as you can, you should see a great deal of vomit spewing from the french man.
Get back into your car and take the chunnel back to England, open your phone directory and look up graphics shops or paint and body shops, they should be able to help!
You know, just thinking about a french man doubled over in extreme groin pain makes me feel all giddy inside! Grin

Dont know what its like on your side of the pond, but on this side of the pond when you go into a auto body shop and ask to buy somthing to do it yourself they are not interested in the slightest and try to talk you into taking it to them to get it done  Angry Angry.
Graphics shops, Dont get me started on F*****G graphics shops, ime sure you have to have a degree in arrogance to work in the ones that i have in my area.

Must admit the next time ime in france though i am going to take your advice jeff only i am going to go on a rampage and get as many of them as possible before i get carted away  Grin Grin

Try this link to an airbrush site in the UK.
Frisket is used by airbrush artists for intricate designs in lieu of
tape.
