What a shame

5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan....they are old and confused. And we are not going to grant them an extension.........
However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESOL (English as a Second Language) traing at our expense, etc.

We must really dislike our old people
or
We must really love tacos!

" The operation has caught more than 140 immigrants with convictions for sexual offenses against children; 367 known gang members, including street soldiers in the deadly Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13; and about 640 people who had already been deported once, immigration officials said. The numbers include more than 720 arrests in California alone."

They are only here to do the killings and rape Americans wont do.....WTF?

Rather than building new prisons right in peoples backyards, why not build them on the really desolate parts of the Mexican American border?  You kill two birds with one stone, prison serves as a barrier and you don't have to transport them far.

MS-13; the tacco mafia.  Except they make Gambino, Lucciano, Corlione (sp?) and the rest look like panty wastes.

Why not prisons in the desert?  Damned sure not as easy to escape from.  If there is ever major flooding that further weakens the Mississippi Delta, then Agola prison is sh*t out of luck (one way in and out, other three sides are the Mighty Mississippi).

I just feel for our military, I mean jeepers man, every place we send them now is a friggin desert. Lets just start rounding them up and bill el Presidente Fox for the hassle. You just can't say "well, your here, might as well get a license and every other benefit we get.
I've been through the Cali border many times, usually very hung over and while being hassled by a border agent with my blonde hair blue eyed navy buddy about our citizenship, watch about a dozen people sprint across just a 100 feet away.
It's a fuggin joke.

I agree to a point. For those elderly that have no one, then more should be done. But for those that have familly, the familly should be there for them. I will be damned if my mother will go without something because I didn't look after her. This is something we could learn from some other cultures. You take care of your own, shame on you if you don't.

This is important info.  I hope not to offend anyone. I watched on C-Span as these same Senators voted to set aside their budget Bill which would not have allowed the expenditure for their Immigration Bill.

North Carolina:

Hmmm.  Does this means that our NC elected officials voted "nay" , or does it mean the didn't vote?  Hmmmmm!

And back to the medicare drug fiasco - my step-mother in law is an 86 yr old widow, living alone in a big old 100+ yr old farm house with over two acres of land, including a huge barn, the "chicken coop" (which is now a little one bedroom rental house).  She maintains this property all by herself, including mowing the acreage.  (This woman is amazing!)

Thank God, she's healthy and not on a bunch of prescriptions, because she got the info from Medicare and it was so confusing she couldn't understand a thing about it.  She also has a BCBS supplement, so she thinks - I'll just give good old BCBS a call and ask them what I should do.  Guess what - BCBS said don't worry your pretty grey head about a thing - we'll cover all your prescriptions.  Sure did - it's now costing her almost twice as much for the few prescriptions she does have to take!

Why couldn't Medicare have handled prescriptions the same way they do medical care - "this is how much we will pay for XXX prescription".  Simple, consise, and the patient knows exactly how much their prescriptions will cost.

The only ones making a bundle out of this fiasco is the drug companies.

Don't build prisons in people's backyards...build them underground.  Kinda hard to escape from.  Screw the windows and doors, shove 'em in a hole in the roof.  Wait...someone is going to call the ACLU on me for my thoughts.... Roll Eyes

Would that be this ACLU?

ACLU defending criminals over victims

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has persistently challenged state and federal efforts to pass Jessica’s law, an essential piece of legislation that calls for more rigorous tracking of convicted sex offenders, believing that the law is too harsh on released sexual predators—and they’re at it again.

Most recently, in Vermont, the ACLU advocated for the removal of convicted child molester’s names from public record, a dangerous and ill-conceived position that would facilitate the open, undetectable movement of vicious criminals and leave everyone in their path—especially children—in grave danger. It seems that the ACLU is more concerned with the rights of convicted felons than the rights of innocent, law-abiding citizens.

The bottom line: the ACLU is a deplorable organization that believes sexual predators should be free to roam the streets without regulation. They knowingly put the wellbeing of innocent people after the wellbeing of the most heinous monsters in society. The ACLU supposedly stands for civil rights, but what about the rights of all the innocent people victimized because a convicted felon slipped under the radar and sexually assaulted, molested, raped or killed an innocent bystander? The ACLU is no better than the ruthless transgressors they vouch to protect, and their asinine position is jeopardizing the safety and security of every American citizen.

Or this ACLU
http://annavenger.blogspot.com/2006/06/aclu-defends-pedophiles.html

Or this ACLU
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=18029

Or this ACLU
The ACLU is a supporter of NAMBLA, representing the organization in the civil case related to the aforementioned murder. The ACLU is representing NAMBLA PRO BONO. Their official position: “In representing NAMBLA, the ACLU does not advocate sexual relationships between adults and children. What we do advocate is robust freedom of speech.
