Days in the summer cottage(UPDATED!!!)

I just got back from our summer cottage, which is located in Middle Finland, in a beautiful city called Viitasaari. Those few days I spent helping mum putting our summer cottage ready for Midsummer, did wonders for me. I'm all happy and relaxed now. And as tanned as I get! Our summer cottage is my haven, because I get to admire a view to a beautiful, serene lake (I promise to add pics later on). There are always lots of bird present and you never know what happends and what you'll see once you get there. This time mum found an egg from our toilet! And we're still trying to figure out which bird thought that the outdoor toilet is a nest... Great, sunny days to all, Sanna Updated: here's the link for pics. I have added only few at this point, there's some problems at photopucket. But I have more pics to share and I add them as soon as the server lets me. http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/sandie99/?sc=1&multi=1&ad dtype=local&media=image

Nothing like a little bit of summer and sunshine to make things look better.

Sanna, that's how I feel when we go up to the "Spooner Shack". The driveway is a 1/2 mile in from the road. It's a shack that sleeps about 10 people, with a wood burning stove, gas stove, lights & fridge, an outhouse and you have to pump the water from a well with an old fashioned hand pump. It's right on the waterfront and the view is beautiful. We have a bonfire every night, make smores and just talk. You can hear the loons calling throughout the day and night. We are heading up there this Sunday-Wednesday and I'm looking forward to it, even though it's a 4 hour drive one way. Ahhhh serenity.

Love the place and surroundings Sanna. The woods, peaceful lake seclusion, very nice out there for the Finland summers. You could get drunk and write fairy tales there. A nice larger picture of yourself too!
