O2 Question

I know I asked this question yesterday, but I can't find it. Sorry for the repeat, but I would really like to know. Is welder's O2 safe to use? I have seen comments here that it is not pure. Adam has no insurance and cannot get a Rx for O2. Just want to know if he should try this or not. Also, where is the best place to get the proper mask? Thanks for any help. Mama Weezer

Welders 02 is safe. In fact if I can find the link for you it states that it is actually purer. If you need a non-rebreather mask pm me your address and I will send you one. Linda

I use welder's O2, Weezer. I got the 540 regulator from Mr Happy for cost. PM him. They also have them on e-bay. Yes, the clustermasx is the best, but a non-rebreather will still work in the meantime. I bought a new welder's tank for $130. with $24. refills. You can lease them also. Just don't say what you're using it for.

The bubbler screws onto the regulator, a tube comes off the bubbler and goes to the mask....any mask. If welding 02 was not 100% pure one could not weld or cut with it! Good luck!

Be suer to NOT strap the mask on. Hold it to your face. I have never heard of an O2 cylinder being incorrectly filled but it dosn't mean it can't happen. -P.
