When I was an ER nurse in Chicago, we spent one shift a month riding with the paramedics. Each time I went, I spent half my time angry and half of it scared to death!
Made the ER seem like heaven .... Eventually, made me retire from the field all together.
Thanks so much for what you do. So many of us simply can't take it.
