I have just completed a rental agreement on a drum and bell kit for Lily for her school's band. She will be taking summer lessons before the school year where I take her twice a week in addition to her Karate classes. The teacher is allowing her to take the drum without any piano backround. This should be interesting, but we had bought her some electric drums for Christmas and she loves it, so we'll see how things go! *yikes!*

Drums - ugh! I love 'em, but not in the house. You might want to consider soundproofing her practice space. Taint cheap, but it'll save your sanity, especially if she loves practicing a lot. My son's a bass player (like his old man), and at least we can turn the volume down on our amps (which he hates) or play through headphones (which he also hates). I guess that's the beauty of being the parent, though. When he gets his own place, he can play (or try playing) as loud as he wants. Until the cops come.

Glad I don't live in your house. Or next to you. I go batty when the family gets together because of the noise. Glad you take active interest in your kids Mel. If there were more parents like you, there would be less kids runing off to Jorden. -P.
