The M$ Office paper clip is designed to drive people into fits of rage, does anybody disagree?

My problem: I want to insert the current date and time into Access table field.
In my previous Access version the shortcut keys were ctrl + ; and ctrl + :
But these don't work any longer and an hour long search in the friggin' help brings no help at all.

Does anybody know these shortcut keys?

Thanks in advance, Ueli                  smokin

Inserting the paper clip into a wall socket won't work.  I had to review the current date, time, and my name again.   Took me awhile, couldn't find a shortcut either.

like to help Ueli, sounds frustrating, but as you might guess.

What exactly is Access? Is it a data base like mysql or a spread sheet like Open Office Calc? Or is it really a strange combination of the two with networking? Maybe I should see if it on my install of Server 2K3, that is if I can get it working.

Try the MS knowledge bases, probably an advanced MS users group would give you some answers.

M$ Access is a database application.  I haven't used it myself, but it's from M$, so it's prolly broken.

MS Access used the Jet Database Engine. End of life for it was announced by MS in 2003. So there is no support. You might find a user group that could tell you. Or migrate to MySQL or PostreSQL which have support. They also have more features.
MS has a database to replase Access called MicrosoftSQL. Not sure of the price.
Because of the lack of functionality in the Jet DB Engine I've never used it.
