Imitrex - Maybe some help

I just discovered that I have a friend who is a drug rep for Glaxo. I am giving her everything I can find on the necessity for 2mg doses. I will keep everyone up to date as time goes on. As a friend of mine always says, "if you don't ask, you don't get". I may have to do some serious wining and dining to get her to really try to understand and help, but I'm glad to do it.

I don't see them making 2mg doses for 'just us clusterheads'. They'd lose ca$h doing it. I'm sure they would refer you to the vials.
Besides, I require 3 - 4 mg. If I only take 2mg, it'll still work eventually 
But what the hay ... go for it !

I use the 4mg for hits at work, cuz it is just easier to carry the stat box than needles. I like the 4mg over the 6mg. After getting vials, I won't screw around with splitting 6mg stats into 3mg doses. If 2mg works for you, great have at it. According to my doc, 4mg still isn't cleared for CH, like 6mg is. Not that they won't give it to us, but some insurance might not. Like it was stated above, I doubt that they would do a 2mg stat, but you never know.

I don't know. My doc is putting me in touch with the Glaxo rep to help with the 4mg trails to get it cleared for CH. Free trex for me!!! WooHoo!!! I don't think there is anything that we could do other than that. Or see if they have some other triptan that is coming out that may be better than trex. I know a lot of people have side effects, I'm in the minority on that one since I don't, but maybe there is something they are working on. I know that this doesn't answer your question...I am really bringing nothing to the table, am I? Sorry...

I think we should leave it alone...at least we can get about 3 headaches out of a 6mg shot.
If they make a 2 or a 4mg for us Clusterheads, watch the price be about the same and we only get 1 headache.....I will always get the 6mg. My 2 cents.

I agree with Jayne. A 2mg vial sure won't be 1/3 the cost.
