Is everyone seeming to have a worse time this year (since about Dec) than in the past or are we just getting so many newbies?
We're getting a lot of people back who haven't been here in a while, but we're getting a lot of new people also. Are docs finally diagnosing CH?
I know I'm having a lot more trouble this year than in the past. May have something to do with the weather, but it just seems that EVERYONE is having more trouble.
What's going on?

I dunno, Barbarra. But Gena and I both had pertty rough cycles this go 'round. We've both been a little "weireded out" by it. I told her yesterday that maybe it has something to do with the Earth's position to the sun this year. Who knows?

I'd have to agree with both of you. I've been in cycle since September or October, got some PFT around January for about 2 weeks and then went right back in. Here's hoping everyone gets some PFT soon!

Life is great here.
Except the closer I get to leaving my job the more my manager pisses me off. We have 5 of us to work 3 shifts 24 hours a day. For the last 3 years we have been telling him, and the 3 levels of managers above him, that 3 of us were retiring on the same day. Have they tried to get replacements trained yet? Nope. Now that we all have signed the retirement papers for June 30 they are crying that they are victims.
I just said "Look here b*itch, just pull up your big girl panties and get over yourself."
He just said "I'm going to lunch." And didn't come back for the rest of the day.
That was Friday. Tomorrow will be interesting.
I love being fire-proof.

Just to keep this on track as a CH thread, I haven't had an attack in a long time. But, thanks for asking.

Mine have been ramping up again, but I get hit more this time of year. A cycle in a cycle. If I remember right, it seemed last year a lot were getting hit about now too.
I've noticed the influx of newbies. Maybe more are getting diagnosed, or more people are searching on CH and finding us. We do have the most info available, and correct info at that, except maybe the OUCH website.
Still sucks though. Welcome newbies!

Ironically, this year I went into remission after 8 years chronic.
Been good (except for migraines) with the exception of one freakish attack in a 3 month period.
However, I think anytime you go out of cycle and come back in, it is worse than the last and with the weather fluctuating so much this spring, it is setting everyones cluster clocks off.

Yeah it's definitely been a CHitty one for me, too...
This year, I've seen days where I had more hits than I've ever had in a single day before. Today, I had an average number, but they were so severe that I was almost ready to break down crying at work. A lot of times, Frova keeps them away while I'm working, but not always....and when you need to do life/death work and have talons stabbing through your eye, temple, brain....it's just frustrating to say the least!
Mine always seems to be worse in the spring than any other time. I feel like in a way it may be connected to the inflammation I get from allergies at this time of year. Not saying allergies are the cause of my CH by any means, but I think the fact that my body is already hypersensitive has some sort of effect on me!

Odd question.... I think I posted it about a year ago when everybody seemed to be saying the same thing. I was having the longest cycle I had ever had at that time. Don't know about this time around yet...just started my cycle.
I was wondering if the pain gets so bad we try to forget it between cycles, or if they really do fluctuate like that.
Would be worth looking into.....

Well, I have to say that for me, this is the best year I can ever remember. 37 PF days I think is a record for me. This place introduced me to kudzu, which, I think has saved my life.
