Dread....

You know...The longer this thing goes on, the more dread is starting to enter my mind.  This is by far the longest and most intense cycle I have ever had.  I guess I am getting tired or turning into a big baby or something, but I keep having these dreadful fears that I am turning chronic.  Stupid unfounded thought, as it has only been 10 weeks, but I can't shake it.

Trex is not working, other than headaches between hits, but am upping the dose a little.  Verapamil has not effect so far other than the stomach issues and slothful feeling.

It is weird, but one of my hits is lessening in intensity, but a new later hit is gaining in intesity.  At least it is some change...hahahaha.  Sorry for the rant.

You're a clusterhead.  You CAN do it.

BUT, I must argue one point .. I think being episodic is harder than being chronic.  Becoming chronic is NOT the end of the world.  When you are chronic, you KNOW you are going to get hit, every day, multiple times.  Believe it or not, you get used to it.

But being episodic, and being in your PF period, and waiting for the next cycle HAS to be torture.  I think you episodics have it harder than me, a chronic.

No, you are not turning into a baby and No, that is not a stupid unfounded thought. The clusters can beat the strongest person to her/his knees. It doesn't mean you are weak. It means you are human suffering from the worst pain known.

Trex is not working, other than headaches between hits, but am upping the dose a little.
I don't understand that sentence. The headaches between hits? Are you getting some other kind of headaches between the cluster attacks?
Upping the dose of Trex? How much are you using now?

Verapamil has not effect so far other than the stomach issues and slothful feeling.
What is your dose? Some people are way up at 700mg a day, some even more. And many take lithium with the Verapamil.

Sorry for the rant.
No need to be sorry. We've all done it before and we'll all do it again.

Thanks for the support.  Bob, what I meant about the headaches between hits is that when I started using trex, I started getting these tension like headaches in my PF time.  Not sure if trex is really the culprit.  As for dose, I have vials and started with around 2mg shots.  Am going to go to 3 and dose up till I find relief or that trex isn't going to work.

As for verap..was at 240 for 1 week, now am at about 440.  Doc has me at 80 mg 4x a day and 120 sustained release at bedtime.

Still trying things.  Thanks again.

Hang in there! I have a post name "Depressed  - read this" that was meant to remind that your highs - pain free ones, will be higher than non CHers can imagine, because you know such terrible pain.

You will be PF again and it WILL be wonderful. Try to relax and not let the pain get you down - don't give the Beast anything he can't take for himself! You can't control your headaches but you CAN control what you do about them - don't give them the satifaction of changing who you are.

If I can help in anyway let me know.

Also Trex seems to be the choice for most, but I respond WAY better to Relpax.

And to end my cycle I quit the Verap cold turkey - I am convinvced it helped make my last cycle the longest one I've ever had and I'll never take it again.
