Mothers day....well to my six yr old just became another bad day in his book. I took him home after a great weekend. We went and got mom a flower and a nice card and he practiced writing what he wanted to say. Wrote it in the card only to get home and the mom who said she would be there is not. The dissapointment and tears he had .. Yes I m venting mothers day has always been spent with mom, family and such what do you do to help a 6yr old understand. Pick him up, tell him to suprise mom when she gets home told him to wait patiently and make it a nice suprise. yet it sucks. I have watched him get dissapointed time and time again what do you do??? mothers day must have been an over rated holiday there. Once again just venting. Best wishes all...PF.... I hope and to the moms hope it was a great day for you all......Jody

That should never happen to any child. Quote:I have watched him get dissapointed time and time again what do you do??? |
| Pick him and hug him and hold him close? I wish I knew. God bless the little guy.
