But King George wants to give them "guest worker" passes and let those guys who were sent home PAY for it out of what they're NOT making! Something is definitely WRONG with this picture!
Oh, well, NOVEMBER is coming. We'll see how many AMERICANS get out and vote.

They need to come down on the fucking banks and financial institutions that are wiring this money to Mexico, too. THAT is who is making the most money off the whole thing, but no one is even mentioning them. America still has it's collective head stuck in the sand.

I have no doubt the americans may have wanted to work.
Heres what may have been left out of the report.
Temporary worker charges by agency.
Agency bills employer for worker at 10 per hr. with customary 100% plus markup = 20.00 per hr.
Agency bills employer $12,000 for placement of temporary worker after 2 weeks employment.
If employer wishes to hire temp worker for full time a buyout of 6 - 12 months of contract is required up to the full amount that would have been billed. = $53,600.
If contracted worker is hired at any time in next 2 years by contractor directly then above fees are still in effect.
In a case like this an additional finders fee may have been added.
Temporary agency laborer = $26-30 dollars plus per hr. with stipulated work schedules with overtime extra. $10.00 to the laborer.
Undocumented worker (many in Katrinas wake lost any and all documentation) = $10-15 per hr. and all money to the worker. Overtime paid accordingly.
The article was poor journalism representing only one side and thats an upset business person who had dreams of cash dashed. She probably had allready bought a new house and car.

" The reason that I'm asking is that I used to work for an employment agency (all positions were full-time and permanent) and we had a graduated scale of charges that topped out at a certain point (and it wasn't anywhere near the figure that you're quoting).

Darlin Got to agree I did too, I also managed one for a while. the greater the volume of workers the lower the pay from the company getting the and/or the higher the scale to the workers. Agency averaged $2.00 an hour profit per worker. Agency had to provide healthcare/workmans comp insurance and post all payroll and deduct all taxes for workers. not real profitable unless alot of workers in the field making money. Depending on the type of temps you provide. Office temps make more for the Service but labor temps easier to get alot into the field working.
All this is, is Illegals taking more jobs from legal citizens wanting to work. Sorry ranting again. I just feel that if a citizen wants the job and is asking a fair wage, they should always get it long before an illegal gets it. The busness owners should be jailed for what they did because the government was funding the work and paying them prevailing wage.

I currently manage a staffing firm and I can tell you and everyone else, I rarely charge the mark ups you describe.
One question for you though, what happens when Juan or Jose get hurt? As a labor pimp.....er uh...supplier of personnel I do make a profit but I do pay all wages, taxes, and if you live in California you know how high workers comp is. I do believe anyone who hires the illegals "Yes, I said illegals" are breaking the law and hurting American workers. Lets cut the bleeding heart crap and bring in the greyhounds to send these people back to where they came from and reclaim the USA.
