For anyone wanting to make calls between America and France, Italy, Spain, Ireland and the UK... if you are on the unlimited plan with Vonage www.vonage.com the calls are now included free in the plan. Not a bad deal for $24.99/month. I remember my UK-Califirnia telephone bills reaching the $1000/month mark when I was calling my kids every day to say goodnite. Yes, I know Skype is free, but this is the real deal. You use real phone and can call anybody you want. I've been using it for years now. Anyway... just thought some people here might be interested.

Hmmm I may have to look into the Vonage deal for business purposes. Do you know if they have any restrictions or different requirements if you are going to use it for business purposes? I will be putting in a 2nd phone line and it would be cool if I can have Vonage on one line and regular phone on the other one. Cat

Cat, they have a small business unlimited plan for $49.99/month, and it includes calls to Europe. It's a solid deal. My favorite part is, if I travel to Europe (i used to do it for work, a lot) I can take my Vonage number with me. If I get high speed internet in a hotel, can plug in the adapter and make/receive calls just like normal. Nobody has to know where I am to call me. Plus, you get tons of other features for free like voicemail, call-forwarding, and a cool feature that can ring up to ten different numbers at once. Who ever is calling gets connected to whichever one I answer. Makes it easy for anybody to always reach me (if I want to be reached, that is)
