Premature Birth?

I have read everything I can find about Cluster's, and it seems that an abnormality in the hypothalamus is the most widely accept theory as the cause. What I can't find is why some people have this abnormality. It got me thinking, and the only thing different between me and others is I was born 3 months premature. I am curious if any other Clusterheads were premature at birth?

Darn, Two out three full term, sounds like that theory is out the window. Guess I was hoping to be able to blame my parents. Now I will have to find something else to blame them for, so I can have my honerary dysfunctional childhood.

Full term here also. Was 8lbs 12oz too. So R Feist, are you a fan of the author or you R Feist himself? Definitely a popular author in this house, we have most of the series published, as well as impatiently waiting for the next book in the latest series. Cat

Hi Cat, Sorry, I am not Raymond Feist, and have not read his books yet, but I have planned to. I do know who you are referring to, I ran across his name a few years ago while doing genealogy research. There is a chance he is a branch on my tree, but I have not confirmed the connection yet. I have to say thanks, you have rekindled my interest to get his books, at least now I will have something to do at 12:18am, 3:27am and 5:24am, after I beat the beast, scared to go back to sleep.

Full term + 1 Day. I know because it was July 5th, 1976, and my mom said (and still gives me crap) that if I was born a day earlier, on my due date, that she would have been given prizes...bicentenial baby and all. But, I did have a mis-shaped head at birth. Forceps. Made it a cone. Casey

I was a few weeks early, my mother had a bad fall 1 day before my delivery. I blame it on her for droping me on my head before I was even born My son was 2 1/2 weeks late and he has clusters as well. Sorry

Full term, natural birth, and my DAD was pissed at me for years. Hey, he could have insisted on a 'C' section. It wasn't my fault I had a big head. Steve
