Should I laugh or cry...?

What a weekend! That is the best way to describe what I've been through this Saturday and Sunday...

From Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon I was with my boyfriend at his friend's housewarming party and met a lot of his friends. I was nervous the minutes before we left the train, but as soon as I met two of his friends (who kindly picked us up), I felt better.

I had been afraid in advance that I would not be able to recall everybody's names, my coughing and lack of voice (which nearly vanished completely) would bother a lot and that I would get hit. Well, I learned who's who quicker than what I thought, everybody were friendly to me, my health didn't stop me from having a great time and most of all - the beast must have a heart, because I din't get hit!!! Grin

They say that it's important to see your partner in different situations. When I looked at my boyfriend as he mingled among his friends and had a good time with them, I couldn't help feeling... happy and, well, proud. He shares so much history with his friends and I'm glad that he wasn't afraid to spend time with them even when I was with him. Smiley

So felt happy how things turned out at the house warming party. So why I would want to cry? Well, it's because of Sunday night. As I got back home, my health begun to cause problems; I was coughing a lot and felt that my voice was leaving me...  Sad

But more than that, I came online and read my emails. A friend I've known for 13 years, the one whose wedding I had as a ticker at the end of my posts, announced that the wedding is off and that she and her fiance are ending their relationship...

She didn't tell why and it's not my business anyway. I know that they've had problems in the past, but things seemed fine now. Aguess that was just the front... Yet I had hoped so much that this friend would have finally found her way to happiness - she has deserved that.

So my weekend turned out to be one with mixed emotions. I must admit, that it's bit of a wonder that the devil decided not to torture me; I sure gave him reasons to visit... But I'm glad that he has stayed away. I've been PF for 5 days now, which is precious. Smiley

Best wishes & PF time to all,
Sanna

First of all Sanna I'm glad the Beast left you alone and you could enjoy the time with your boyfriend and his friends.

Sorry about your friend but sometimes it is better to break up before a marriage is started than after.  Life has a wonderful way of sorting itself out and her happiness might just be around the next corner.

Hope you are feeling a bit better. hug  Drink lots of fluids, stay out of the cold and read a good book... chicken soup is also very therapeutic. Wink

Ginger Brandy is still my favourite! Grin

Sanna I'm glad you had a great time and as for your friend.. just tell her from me that it's better to have loved and lost than to have had to put up with the b*stard all her life!  Wink He wasn't good enough for her anyway, she'll get through it, with friends like you she'll be just fine (and I know this and you know how!  Kiss )

Must have been the weekend for it... I took my sisters two kids for the weekend .  She needed a much deserved time away with her new boyfriend( after her divorce) the kids were great the weekend went good on my end.  She had a great time.  The kids on the otherhand were little brats for grandma, and well  now mom is mad, sis is hurt, and the weekend ended on a bad note.  but life goes on ...hang in there...hope this finds you feeling better and PF...  Ginger brandy is awsome for a sore throat...but so is being babied when you are sick if I could I would bring you a blanket and some hot soup, a book and a pillow.  Get well soon ....
