Yuck. As I said before, I was in a similar situation a (long) while back. First thing I did was make him get a day job. The last thing he needed was to sit at home unsupervised all day. So he worked a 6 hour a day day job and went to night school. For him, the job paid for the lawyer he needed and the restitution the judge ordered him to pay. Having to cover that himself made him realize the good consequence/bad consequence theory. He never got in trouble with the law again. Your biggest job here is to force him to take it all like a man (or a woman, LOL). hugs and love to you, nani

Don't they have an alternative school that is during the daytime? I know that a friend of my daughter's son attends alternative school and it's hours coincide with regular school hours and he rides the bus. That not being feasible, have you thought about boot camp? Not all kids who go to boot camp are bad kids either, some just haven't found their niche yet. The National Guard runs one in Louisiana and it's a tough program, but it's a good one. Carolyn
