CH and sleep

One of the markers of CH is the inability to sleep. You just can't do that with a hit and sometimes as we all know you get that wakeup call. But do any of you sleep too much between hits. I don't know it the hit just takes it all out of me, the meds, or whatever the hell is going on in my head or the combo of all of the above. Sigh...............

I sleep betwwen hits during the peek of my cycle and when it first begins. If my body had its choice I would sleep all day and be up all night.

I don't sleep well either in or out of cycle. Never have. In cycle it is worse. I know many CHers don't sleep well or sleep very lightly. I have found melatonin before bed helps. Perhaps it increases the low levels CHers are known to have. -P.

I can't nap at all without waking up to a hit. Nighttime sleep is much better for me with 9mg of melatonin every night and it also seems (with my Verap) to help the daytime hits too. However, I still wake up very tired every morning. (I did do a sleep study and I don't have apnea either)

| Got that right. When I am in-cycle the couch calls to me all day, since I was probably up part of the night. Within 15 minutes of closing my eyes... bam... you know what.

Sleep is a scary but much needed entity when you suffer from CH and insomnia.

| Same here. My 3(?) months of remission... still fighting the insomnia beast. Will usually go two or more nights a week without sleep... but I do sleep much more out of cycle than in. Carl
