I am so creeped out!!

I took my son to drivers Ed classes about 5 miles away. I noticed a black car pull up behind me as I left. ok fine. As I zip around and zig zag through the city making lefts and rights it followed me every turn. Freeky! I thought it was a cop or something because it was a car like theres. Well it came time for me to pull into my driveway and when I did he did a u turn and went and sat at the end of my street for a few min. then left. I am so scared now that some nut knows where I live. I am so stupid! I should have called his bluff by driving around my block in circles and calling his bluff on it. OR pull in my friends drive way but I didn't know if they were home or not. Why do I feel so stupid?!

Don't you worry. Call the cops and let them know every detail you have. DO IT NOW! Here is what I would do next time. 1. If you can get a plate #, use your cell phone to call someone or leave it on a voicemail so you don't forget. If not write it down. 2. Call the police (from your cell) if this particular person does it again. 3. If convienent drive to the police station and pull in. If not so nowhere near your home. drive somewhere crowded and if he stays ask a stranger to get his plate number as he drives by. 4. It may have been a cop who saw you driving a little strange and followed you home. He then might have watched to see if you looked drunk when you left your car and then wrote a few notes. If you call the cops, they can tell you if it was one of them. Anyway, please call the police right away. If this guy follows you again, they can at least threaten him with stalking. 4.

Ok just for you, FramCire. I called the police and they took a phone report. Thanks for the advice. Oh and to add I don't have a cell phone. My husband and kids do but I don't have one. I should have got the liscence plates. My meds make me so dumb sometimes.

Karla, If this happens again, drive to the nearest police station and park there. If the car follows you, and you are still scared start blowing the horn. If it doesn't follow, go in and report it. Opus/Paul

Karla ... Quit calling yourself "dumb" or "stupid" ... you were in a new situation that of course scared you. Now ... I am dumb! I once had a car following and tailgating me through a city. Dumb is ... I got out of the car at a stoplight and headed for the driver of the car. As I did, gang members poured out of the car like clowns out of a VW! My only recourse then was to go into a mad fury, get in the face of the driver and curse, threaten and yell with my finger in his face. As I ranted on, I threatened to put them all in the hospital. I can only guess they must have thought I was insane or had a weapon since they backed off, got in their car and left. Now ... that was dumb! But I got lucky. The only thing I can see that would even be close to not being smart is after telling your family about this ... is if one of them don't either turn over their cell phone to you or buy you one right away! Try not to freak out, you'll find yourself having anxiety over every car around you and your rear view mirror will control your driving. Until you get that cell phone ... which you will ... right? Here's some tips: Pad of paper and pen: Even if you can't see a license plate #, pretend as if you are writing down info. Fake a phone call: Until you get your own, carry anything that resembles a phone, slow down and let them see you apparently making a call. Another things to consider is they may not be stalking you ... but your home and when they can count on nobody being there ... looking for patterns. Lastly ... tell us as soon as you get your own cell phone, can follow what fram told you and put yourself at peace and give us some peace knowing that you'll be fine. Deal? My prayers are with you and you'll have Angels watching over you ... I know you know that as well You're smart ... you'll do the right thing should it ever happen again, Many hugs my friend, Dave (I write so slow these days ... )

Karla, please, at the very least, look into emergency service only. Most areas have this, so you can dial 911, as long as you have the phone charged............and if you need, I will send you my old phone and car charger, since I just got a new one... All the other stuff...great info.........personally, I have driven right to a police station when I had been followed.......the bad guys aren't fond of that at all..... Now, live without fear, because you have a plan in place.. let me know about the phone. glad to send it! Cathi

LOL>>.Blossom, My friend's rotties, Smith and Wesson, are the sweetest lap dogs one would ever like to meet.....they adore me, and begin drooling when they see my car pull up......... HOWEVER. When they are alone, they are there for a reason.....Iwould NEVER put it past them to greet me kindly if I did not know them, and if we did not have access to their cookie jar. I have babysat them when our friends have been gone, nad the growling and the barking begins when my car pulls up.intimidating, to say the least....it ends when they hear my voice, and, just to be certain, I walk in the door with their cookies, and we begin with a lot of love.they do NOT like people somply cruising their house! A dog helps........ Cathi

Karla, you called the police, that was a wise thing to do. Those things happen so quickly in the end that most of us would not get a licence plate. You sound a lot more calm than I would have been in the very same situation. Now relax, you've done your part. Sean, if I had a friend like that dog... the dog alone would scare the hell out of me!
