Just had a GREAT surprise call....

Just got back from the post office (last minute extensions and all that fun stuff to the IRS). Sat down EXHAUSTED (went to work at 4 a.m. this morning). Well, I'm sitting here trying to decide if I'm gonna crash or get drunk when the phone rings...
This nice male voice asks "What are you doing and are you in Shreveport?" Thinking this JUST MAY BE the obscene call I've been waiting for, I perk up immediately!!!! 
But... alas... it's Stevegee... and he's on the way to Shreveport. We're having dinner tonight (and he's gonna see that I get home if I get drunk - he's such a good boy). Well, I feel just a whole lot spiffier (is that word?). Just what I needed today. A meet and greet with a great guy (and Steve is a great guy).
Now I've got to get my son and daughter-in-law to come get this rug-rat and give Granny a little while to get her act togther and get ready to listen to all the spoof about New Orleans from someone who's there. But I'm not near as tired as I was before he called.
There is a silver lining - even on April 17th......

Well, that didn't work out.
Steve had a business dinner come up and I had a T-ball game (kids forgot to tell me about it till the last minute). So we're gonna try it again today.
Hope Steve's dinner was as exciting as our T-ball game. Caleb hit the ball (after Granny told the coach he was a leftie - gee whiz, you'd think his Dad would have noticed at practice!!!!)! Anyhow he did real good - good thing they don't keep score.  He hit the ball out in left field and batted a runner in (after she figured out where home plate was.) I just love T-ball. They're so cute. Course Granny was leading the cheering squad for both teams.
Hopefully Steve and I will meet up today and catch up on everything. Feel a lot better (almost human after Tax day) today.

Project in the crapper and it looks like I'll be spending alot more time in Shreveport. Will have to work New Orleans repairs via the phone.
