Well, over the weekend I perfected a recipe for homemade coleslaw. Thought I'd share it... Mel's Creamy Coleslaw 5 cups shredded green cabbage 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped 3/4 cup mayo (I use Hellmans) 1 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. white vinegar 4 tbsp. sugar (I use Splenda) 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. white pepper (black if you don't have it) 1/3 cup milk Mix cabbage and onion in large bowl. Blend remaining ingredients and then add to cabbage mix. Stir well. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving. If anyone tries it, I hope you like it! mel

Mel, It looks like it will be yummy! Of course being in the south I will have to substitute "Dukes" for the Hellman's. And I will have to use the sugar instead of splenda cuz until these HA's go away the one thing I refuse to skimp on are my bad habits I will try it this coming weekend when I go up to my brothers place outside D.C. I am going to see my great but retiring neuro in Annapolis for the last time and to celebrate my birthday/earthday on the 22nd. So plant a tree or a bush or a weed or something ya'll. Thanks for the recipe, I have a feeling it is going to turn out about the way my momma used to make it and hers was gooood ! ...................tim

Some places coleslaw tastes like butt, so I wanted to make some at home that reminded me of my mom. I hope that you like it as much as we do! mel btw, we have 19,000 trees coming in on the 19th. I know it's not the 22nd, but is that going to be OK?
