My son is loose in the world !

As I write this, my 15 year old son is flying past the Dominican Republic and on to Port of Spain !
I checked the online flight tracker, and can watch as he makes his way to Trinidad. I tried to post the pic but it keeps updating so it keeps changing.
There was a send off from our church last night, then the kids piled into a bus to make their way to Calgary to catch the flight to Houston then to Port of Spain, Trinidad. About 100 people showed up to give the kids a rousing send off. The bus is a work in progress, a tour bus for a family singing group from our church. It's in the process of being renovated, so the kids sat on couches in the bus and on the bed in the back and wherever else they could find a space.
They all wore matching t-shirts with their mission logo on them. A show of solidarity and unity, right, LOL, it's probably so they are easier to find in the airport. 4 boys, 10 girls and 6 adults. They meet with two guide/directors from Samaritan's Purse who will help them out in Trinidad.
I have generously offered to compile all the photos from the team members when they return. This way we'll have all the photos available on one disc. I have the computer program to do this (and the child who will take the least amount of photos while he's there) so I can help out and still manage to get photos of the trip as well

How exciting! It's a mixed bag when we watch our children growing up and getting out in the world, isn't it? On the one hand you couldn't be more proud. On the other, it's a scary thing for Moms to let go.

Thanks Nani,
He's really getting to be an interesting person now, just a shame that I only have him here for a few more years. He still acts like a fifteen year old hormone at time, but at other times, I think he may be maturing faster than I am.
