Am I getting blown off?

I sent this email to my DME company after surfing their website and seeing 15 medical conditions (with research) listed on their site as to whom they supply: Greetings, My name is Brian Nemhauser and I am a customer of yours. I appreciate your service and I really like your travel program which I use. The reason I am contacting you is with regard to your site and the information it offers. You seem to have quite a bit of information there to try to help teach people. The reason I use your service is for a rare condition called Cluster Headache, which is a neurovascular disorder causing severe pain in and around one eye. Using Oxygen at 12 to 15 LPM with a reservoir bag / non-rebreather mask is a very effective treatment for the majority of sufferers. Because this treatment is so effective, I respectfully request that some information about oxygen therapy for this condition be added to your site. There are several organizations that do research and have support groups for sufferers of this condition, one of them is called O.U.C.H. (Organization for Understanding Cluster Headaches www.clusterheadaches.org). Another source for large amounts of info with many topics on the effectiveness of Oxygen is www.clusterheadaches.com. Thank you so much for your time and help in reaching out to other sufferers of this mostly unheard of but debilitatiing condition commonly referred to as "Suicide Headaches". Brian Nemhauser Then I got this response which struck me as just trying to blow me off: Dear Brian: Thank you for contacting Apria Healthcare to review the possibility of Apria adding information to our corporate website on the subject of cluster or "suicide" headaches. I will take your information into consideration and see if there is a way to incorporate such information/patient education into the site in the near future. We appreciate your interest and wish you good health, Lisa M. Getson Executive Vice President Apria Healthcare Is it just me or does this seem insincere? BMonee

It's not you, she's blowing you off. My take is that she freaked when you mentioned "suicide".

Not sure but it seems to be some kind of standard response. Nothing very personal or gee whiz about it. These guys like things that save tons-o-money, course. I've gotten one shot deals on meds and out of town office visits though. Maybe that's something they'll do. My bottom feeder HMO thinks that that's cool now and then to shut me up. Keep on top of them for awhile. Charlie

I think they will at least look it to your request. Maybe research it a little. Wheather they actually put in on their website is another matter. Hope they don't look to hard at your request though. You included clusterheadaches.com address, this one we are on now. If they see you are questioning their willingness to help it might turn them off.
