Nother puter ????

So I have this Dell 8200 ,100gig hard drive half used. Westell DSL modem, Netgear wireless firewall router. So far so good. I had this bright idea I needed more storage and purchased a Iomega 250 gig network storage drive. Now I have loaded the soft ware installed the thing botched it and had to revert back to the DSL modem to get back online. I am so tarded. I think my 02 consumption is going up fighting this installation. Please help? 
PS I will be back after I beat this thing on a rock for awhile.

Load software for what? Hard drive, modem or router? You shouldn't need software for any of those. Or did you try to copy the contents of your old hard drive to you new one and now it won't boot? If you have a Dell with Microsoft Windows xp home, then you probably have a restore partition. It would be be good idea to make a backup f this with your favorite imaging software.
I have heard that Microsoft Windows xp does come with drivers to access a hard drive bigger than 137 Gig. If this is true you would need the drivers before you install the OS which could be tricky.
If you have SBC as an ISP, there are issues using a router.

You haven't really told us enough to pinpoint the problem.
Various things could be going wrong here. Some DSL customers have to load a PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) client so they can connect to the Internet. If that's what you are doing, then it might take a little reconfiguring to access the network drive -and- the Internet at the same time. Another thing that could happen is the DSL modem might see the network drive first, and practically marry itself to it, leaving your computer without a path to the Internet. What you can do in that case is power everything (puter, modem, drive) off for 5 minutes, then just power up everything but the network drive. Do everything you normally do until you are 'on the network', then power up the network drive and see if it works.
The easiest way for all of this is to have a small ethernet switch (or hub) that everything is plugged into (your firewall would work if it has multiple ports). A lot depends on how your DSL actually connects (i.e. does it use a software client right now or does it connect directly?)
More details would help.

Loaded the software for the drive, as the others were already in use.
The firewall router has multiple ports and I was using it as a hub. I am unfamiliar with PPoep. I dont even know if it connected correctly. Assuming I have the hardware connected correctly the pc picked up the device however it was not configured. At this point I lose internet. I get into the new drives software configuration promts and get lost. This #@%$Yprednisone is not helping
the OS is xp office pro. Should the pc pick up the net drive as another storage device? Told ya I was tarded.
I have a flat screen so I cant make an aquarium out of my monitor. Shit. This may require serious brain amputation.

Actually now I get it, really slow today. You will need to get into the routers web config utility and change the and change a setting so the connection from the router to the modem is the PPPoE like Shawn said. This causes a lot of people problems. Your router manual should be able to help you. You will then probably have to run your Internet connection wizard again too.

Yep toast works.
I drop about 30 IQ points in an episode anyway and with the IQ deficit already in effect it is best to ask the ones who knows. I'm jealous, these guys are good. I may know a bit more about steel but they know the puters..

I'm assuming you have the iOmega 250GB High Speed Ethernet network hard drive... You plugged the drive into an available ethernet port on your hub, plugged the drive into the wall outlet, turned on the drive and waited for the activity light to change from red to blue before installing the software right? Then you ran the iOmega Discovery Tool to allow it to detect and configure the network hard drive and assign a drive letter for it in My Computer? When you open My Computer, is there a section called Network Drives (It might be near the bottom of the window, so you may have to scroll down to see it) in it? If you don't have your My Computer arranged by type, is there a drive N: with a name like IomegaNetworkHDDxxx where xxx is some 3 digit number? If so, then the drive should be installed, and ready to use. If not, then the drive is not being detected...
When you connect the drive and turn it on, do you get a warning pop-up on your taskbar... Some thing about a network cable is unplugged, or network not connected, or something similar? What happens when you plug the drive into the ethernet port in your computer and run the discovery tool? Does it detect and configure it properly? If so, then it has something to do with the connection to the hub. If not, then it's probably a network setting on you computer that's messed up. Try resetting the drive to factory defaults by pushing the power down until the activity light flashes red, then let go of the button and wait for the light to turn blue before running the discovery tool again.
If it still isn't working, look on the back of the drive and find the link LED, it should be on when the drive's ethernet cable is properly installed between the drive and the computer or hub and the drive is powered on. If it's not on, then unplug and replug the cable at both ends. If the light still isn't on, try a known good ethernet cable (If you have one, you might want to try it even if the light is on but still can't access the drive).
Finally... If nothing else works... Take it back and get your money back. Buy a USB or Firewire connected external hard drive, and follow the directions.
