Hi All,

Yesterday morning ended up being a very bad day.... I woke at 8:45 with a 10 CH... My son's Mentor was on his way... and boy was he gonna get the shock of his life...He knows about what I suffer from ... just because I have spoken in lil bits about it...but I dont think he could even imagine till he walked in and saw me on the floor in shear agony...My lil boy watching as I went through this... He is normally very lucky because I ususally have them at night when he is sleeping so he doesnt have to watch...I was takin to the hospital.. and of course I didnt care that I was screamin and crying on my way in... Everyone gettin outta the way from what I was told... They ended up takin me into a back room so no one else had to see that... My blood pressure was takin its was pretty damn high for me ... my normal is 120/68-70     at this point it was 150/104 Not good....I couldnt even talk at the time but another nurse came into the room and told me to stop hyperventilating I was gonna make it worse... Easy for her to say... but of course at that time I could care less...The last thing she said was This woman needs oxygen...DUH!!!! Well P.S. they got me into the doctor who immediatley got a shot commin of morphine... and almost by the time I got the shot the headache was over...but for the rest of the day I was able to relax and they made me an appt for my regular doctor who put me on Verapamil and steroids/prednisone... and made me another appt for a nuero.. That I HOPE listens to me.. unlike the other ones would.. Then at 8 pm last night I was delivered a oxygen tank to start oxygen treatments... I pray with all my heart it works but I am still worried cause so many times I was givin things and they didnt work..Im hopin for the best and prayin for all the others out there that suffer.. Smiley

Holy crap, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that, but at least you have people on the ball now to get some (hopefully) decent treatment for your pain!!

Let us know how the verap and O2 works out for ya and holler if you have any questions!

I feel ya. I had the worst summer ever last year. Five times to ER 3 by ambulance. Finally my reg neuro checked me in for a week on IV meds including steroids and taper> I have the luck of having CH with complicated and I mean complicated migraines. Spent one of those afternoons in ER paralyzed on my right side (not the first time for that trick) and by the time I was admitted (my fifth visit to ER) I could not walk 3 feet. I could not sit up or stand. My poor neuro does not know where the migraines end and CH begins sometimes, I am so whack...............Your meds sound right on and I hope they break this cycle for you. Shit a 10. The worst I have suffered pain wise was an 8 . Wanted the gun to my head then............

Oh man, that sounds awful! Sure brings back some bad memories...and I hope that's what they stay -- memories... Embarassed Too bad you had to go through that and your kid had to watch... Sad.

Hope you get a break soon with the meds and the 02 therapy; 02 has certainly been a saviour for a lot of us.
