From Crystal...Need help with Project.

Hi Everybody... Grin

I need to do a project for my Life Sciences class.  And I would like to compile poems or songs written by you.  I would love if you could share them with me for my project.  Thank you.

Also, the teacher is now teaching us about how our actions good or bad, will have consequences (I needed my mom to help me spell that laugh) and the regret we feel about certain actions we've taken in life and how those regrets can sometimes weigh us down negatively.

We've all made mistakes and if we could turn back time, how would you do something different?  My Mom teaches me that we should not live our lives with regrets, but with hope of learning from our mistakes, making peace and doing better next time around, especially when it comes to hurting people we love.

Thanks for your help.  I love you guys.

P.S.:  Nani and Mooshie-thank you for the pretty coaster.  I put a string on it and hung it up in my room instead.   Cheesy

Crystal, check the new Newsletter. There are a couple of good poems on there. Your mom is a smart woman. There are always consequences for our actions. Some good, some bad. Good luck with your project.!

Chrystal,

I promise to take a look if I can find some of my poems. It might take a while as I have LOTS of notebooks. Smiley

What comes to regrets, I don't have any. That doesn't mean that I've avoided mistakes, though. It means that I've made all the big decisions after a full consideration and based on the information I had at the time. Looking back on things it's easy to say "I should have done this/I shoudn't have done that", but that doesn't get you anywhere. I haven't done anything really horroble and I hope that I'll never will.

What comes to hurting others... I don't think that it can be avoided complitely. You can always do your best not to hurt anyone and apologize when you have.  Unfourtunately, it is possible to hurt someone else without realising it.

Good luck with your project! I'm sure that you'll do very well! Smiley

Best wishes,
Sanna

Hi Crystal!! I'm glad you liked what mooshie made, she wouldn't let me see it, LOL. You're welcome.
I have no talent, so I can't share any poems or songs.  Undecided

Your Mom is a wise woman. If I could go back, I would change two things in my life. The first thing is that I would learn to really respect myself much sooner than I actually did. I always treated others with respect, but I didn't always make choices that respected me.
The other thing I would change, is to realize the power of words sooner. Sometimes, I'd lash out in anger and say hurtful things to the people I love. Words can be just as powerful as actions, so I've learned to use them carefully. When we make mistakes, and actually learn something from them, we grow into better people. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, just remember to learn the lesson.
It's always good to hear from you, sweetie. Check in more. Love you, nani

Thank you Uncle Jimi, Sandie and Nani and others who responded by private.  Thank you for the advice too, you all sound like my Mom.   Smiley

Sandie, I can't wait to see some of your poems.  Also thanks for the licorice you sent my mom.  I ate the whole thing one day before my mom came home from work-guess I had a major sugar craving. My mom wasnt too pleased  Undecided - but she forgave me.  Grin

Bye for now.  Kiss
