He has arrived in the USA!

Well, the hubby arrived after a near 24 hour flight. He is now at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in San Antonio. He tells me it looks like the Transvaal Highveld in South Africa, shops, weather an'all but not the cars... big, big vehicles and big, big food His suitcases got lost but a few hours later arrived unscathed at the Hotel, so all the parcels I've send, are safely there. I was worried, I thought they confiscated it at customs. Must have looked suspicious, 2 suitcases filled with little more than wrapped brown paper packages Sorry for all the cellphone and old boxes I used to pack the stuff in but this was a big opportunity to recycle! To all of you that send me your addresses, thanks again. The parcels will be posted, this week to you all, from your own country, except for those like Helen and Svenn that will receive theirs from me via the USA. It is only something small, as you can imagine getting so many parcels onto a plane but I hope you guys get a little feel for Africa. Everything is made here from all African materials and 100% of it was made by the disabled, so you all contributed to someone here's total monthly income. Thanks to you guys receiving this, about 5 families won't go hungry this month. (So Jonny it went to a good cause - those who lost limbs and became blind by this war)

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Thanks to Jonny and thousands more (somewhat) like him, the state of the art rehabilitation center for Intrepid Fallen Heroes, in San Antonio, TX, fund has reached its goal of $35 million. America has done a great thing. This center, although it will be run by the VA, is a 100% supported by donations from people like you. No taxes go to this facility. This trend is our society is a good thing. Less reliance on government largess and more real people-to-people support for those we send in harm's way. Y'all done good. Gracias mi amigos. Paco P.S. Jonny, you will always be my brother from a another mother.
