Ok get this.
I am going to a new Doctor on Monday. I am on state insurance. So I get assigned this doc. I call to make the appointment. I explain to them why I am coming and its the Doc's wife on the phone and she seemed almost excited to hear I had Cluster's. Anyway, just a few moments ago the Doctor himself called me and asked me about them and wanted to confirm my appointment. I gave him my usual and he was like ok We will see what we can do when you get here.
I have never but once in my life had a DOCTOR call me. That was a follow up. This Doc seemed very open minded and ready to listen. It is almost scary. I will let you all know how it actually goes on monday.

I found this doc, just across the border. Real old type, proper house and family doc.
Doesn't know anything about CH, have to check on anything he prescribes my children to make sure he doesn't kill them in the process but... greatest bedside manner.
Phone calls from SA to Mozambique to make sure I'm Ok during the last cycle, drove through to bring me meds, ask about my family, gave my kids a run down on how to cope and help and... he recommended me to a good neuro.
Hard to find old docs like that, nice person

My neurologist only calls me to confirm appointments if his wife....also his nurse or something......isn't there. The guy is helpless and hopeless unless he's in his element.

OH boy, I've been waiting for an excuse to post this. I made this when the last Ali thread was going on, but the thread got deleted bfore I could post it.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
