I trust you guys - and I know someone will know ... so I'm asking............ WHat's the difference between term life insurance, and whole life, and i think there's another one. ???? Anyone know a good website that will give me "life insurance 101"? Or a good company to buy from? I dont know what's a good deal, I dont want to get screwed.. but I want to be protected.... know what i mean? Also - anyone know anything about pre-arranged funerals?? thanks ya'll......... woobs.

Term life provides death benefit only for a low cost in the early years. It gets very expensive as time goes on. . Whole life provides lifetime coverage. The premiums are more expensive in the early years, but you get level cost, a cash value buildup in a tax friendly environment, low cost loans, and lifetime coverage.

LMAO! No - Ramon's safe (so far).... What it is, is that before Christmas, my best friend's husband passed away. I saw her make decisions about his funeral while she could hardly even breathe, and now she's dealing with life insurance and social security and the bills..(he did the bills, and now she has NO clue what's what.).. and she has 4 kids and works full time. She doesn't even have time to mourn her husband. I dont wish what she's going thru on ANYONE. The lesson in it all for me was - make sure you have life insurance, and do pre-arranged funerals so that your loved ones dont have to go thru that. It was horrible, and if I can avoid that for Ramon if I die, then that's what I'm going to do. And vice versa. Only question is - can I AFFORD to die?? LOL Dieing is sooooooooo expensive. I've decided that I dont want a casket, or flowers, or processional escorts.... or a funeral. Cremate me, and then have a party. I dont even care what's done with the ashes. That's all I want. (If I post this on the internet, is it legal??) LOL thanks for the link Gator... and thanks to all who PMd me... tina
