Thanks for posting that, Svenn.

I just heard about it in the news and  also thought about starting a thread about it.

Jas, Let us know how things are in there, okay!

We are ok down here.

Last night while sitting here on the site I felt the tremor, we have some of those every now and then, so I didn't take any notice.

I'm way down South and my kids go to school in Maputo.  My daughter sms'd me this morning to find out if I felt it last night as I'm usually up until 2 am.

There are no remarkable damage here in the South but we will find out more about the situation in the North as we watch the news and hear it through the grapevine.

I live next to the ocean in a house with 1 meter thick, prefabricated concrete slabs, for walls.  This house is as safe as a castle as it was put together like a giant jigsaw puzzle.  It will take a big one to have an impact.

My worry is more for Beira, up North, as the roads are nearly gone after the rains we had, so they will battle to get help from land if they have a lot of damage.

My daughter just got home and told me that Maputo experienced some damage but no lives lost.  Only cracked walls.

The whole of Mozambique just suffers every now and then electricity loss but it is not anything we are not used to.
