For those of you that didn't know Bob... here is the day he brought us the Kip Scale... http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard/messages/11825.html his take on smoking whilst using O2 http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard/messages/48795.html he was also one of the first ones to cool his O2, as well (and taught the rest of us how to do it) http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard/messages/58516.html Now, if I could only find his post about the time a rottweiller fell in love with him, I'd be happy. That was definitely Kip's finest moment. Barb? Linda? Donna? BobP? Jonny? BobG? Any of you know where or when that post was? I've just spent the last hour here searching... I'd sure love to read it again today. Kip, we'll miss you so much.

Here's the story the way I remember it... One evening while walking the beast, my dad noticed he had a presence following him. At first he was not that concerned, however the presence turned into a very large dog. As the dog got closer he saw that it was a rotweiler, who was a very friendly fellow. Still suffering with the beast, Dad politely patted the dog on the head and hoped that would send the dog on it's merry way... however the dog decided to knock him down and proceeded to hump him. Upon returning home somewhat shaken and disturbed, he told his loving wife about the attack... Her response was... "Oh honey I'll help you raise the puppies!" He was not amused at the time but since then it has brought a roar of laughter to all who hear it! Thanks to everyone who has posted and I hope this story brings you only tears of laughter! Janet

Here is where OUCH started and KIP was there helping make our history. Quote:Posted by Bob P (129.65.46.87) on July 23, 1999 at 17:03:11: You guys all realize that Elaine, Barbara D., Kip and Todd are probably all over at drummer's house right about now. That's probably the largest gathering of clusterheads, all in the same place at the same time, that has ever taken place. They're making clusterhead history. Pity any headaches that try to sneek in there. They've got over 100 years of experience there to fight it. Way to go guys & gals! Luv ya, Bob P |

Janet, nice to see your post. It's good that you are here with us. Hope you hang around for a L O N G time. I remember that story from when Bob and Judy were here in Englewood, and he was laughing about it with Barb . They kept Nancy, me and the rest of the gang in stitches.

Linda - Glad you found that post about the start of OUCH! Reading that makes me smile - who'd have thought we'd have many gatherings of so MANY clusterheads as the years go on! And how big all of this would have gotten and how many this site and we all have helped! Very very cool Janet - Thanks for your post about the story!! Does bring about smiles I hope you know you're welcome here as a lifetime CH family member! Hugz, Carrie

Margi.......good thinking, girl. We need a tribute page like this. It does our hearts good to talk about the good times and things that we can share at a time like this. I also think we need a special page for our loved cluster heads who need to be honored and remembered. I have a couple of pictures to find and post too.

I haven't been posting lately because I can barely find words or keys to type them with, but ... I must respond to this sad news. Met Bob a few times, but I remember best the first time in Las Vegas. I was just starting to go Chronic and was very scared. I sat with Bob and talked about it. Bob was honest and direct with me. He told me what lay ahead and without holding back facts I didn't want to hear, he did so with compassion and encouragement. It would be impossible to say in words just how much that conversation has helped me to this day, plus other talks at other Conventions. I remember Bob and Judy at a dinner, Bob frustrated the waitress so much it was hilarious. Then Judy ordered a drink with a cinnamon stick in it ... and ate it! She puckered up so much, but darned if she didn't eat the whole thing! They "bickered" at each other the whole dinner, but there was no doubt everyone could easily see the love between them and not help but fall in love with them as well. Bob has been so much to so many of us here and now that we all mourn his loss, he will still live on in each of us he has touched so deeply. My prayers for Judy and Janet as well, please feel some comfort in knowing his pain is now gone and feel proud to have Bob been with you as part of your family. I know he was so much to our family here and always will be. God Bless, Dave

One of my favorite stories from Bob was no doubt the loving Rott, but I remember too he had posted years ago on the old board how one night he was taking the CH beast for a walk, and was in alot of pain and then he saw a sign on a telephone pole I believe it was, that said "Smile Fucker." It had struck him so funny that, even though he was in major pain, he couldn't help but laugh. Thanks to everyone for posting links. Great memories. Peace be with you now Bob, Carl D

Bob Kipple was full of fun and he loved to mess with you. The fist time I saw Kip was in NY. Drummer and I was waiting at the airport for him to get off his plane. When Kip got to me. He grabed me and kissed me, I blushed and Kip just laughted that Kip laugh of his. He told a story about it somewhere. He was full of life and full of fun. His advice was GOLD. His Frendship was wonderful. I smile thinking of the good times. I smile thinking of him in Heaven. I am a selfish person. I cry because I will miss him. If I am lucky enough to make it to Heaven, when I go through those gates I will give him a big Kiss.

Margi....Thank you for starting this thread. A bit more information..... I can tell you what happened to the puppies.... I first met Kip & Judy at the Englewood meet & greet. He told the Rott story. Judy was right there and added a few details. I laughed til I almost cried....all of us did. When he finished I asked about the puppies...what they looked like, etc. He laughed, called me a shit and then informed me that he couldn't tell me much...he'd had them shipped out of the country right after birth and hadn't even looked at them. He did say that they were all fine though....still living abroad.... Kip was a humble man. Sometimes he would go for long periods without posting. Someone would post an APB on him. A couple times I called and told him he needed to check in.....folks on the board were asking for him. He always acted so surprised. Once he said, "You're kidding...they are asking for me? Tell them we're fine and I'll be along with a post soon". He taught me the 'cooled 02' trick. I swear it worked....kept Blake going one night. Jonny....you remember that night I'm sure...even if it was a long time ago. Anyone who has stories about Kip.....please share them. Kip was a dandy for sure...one of a kind. Bless his heart. We'll miss him terribly.... Jackie
