A very sad day in Clusterville

With a very heavy heart, I must share the following with you all.  I just logged into my hotmail account and found the following:

To all of my father's e-mail friends...

It is with great sadness to inform you of the passing of my father, Bob Kipple. I know many of you were very close to him and in his heart. He passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday 2/20/06. Should you wish to contact the family, you can respond to this e-mail address or to pica@bellsouth.net or call my home phone at xxxxxxxxxxxx.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the research for Clusterheadaches is what we would perfer. (I am sure he would rather have it that way too!)
With much love, Janet Cairo, Bob Kipple's daughter

Rest in Peace my dear friend.

Rest in peace, Bob.  Judy, our hearts and prayers are with you.

Kip...how can we EVER thank you for your enormous contributions?  Fly with the angels, my friend - you have finally found your pain freedom and earned your muchly deserved wings.  We are so much the richer for you having graced our lives.  Peace be with you.

I spent a lot of time chatting with him on our "porch" at NashCon.  I'll never forget all his endless stories and his laughter and joy he had over all the memories he caried with him.  I, personally, took his spirit in stride when learning about the initial days of OUCH.  I enjoyed every minute I spent talking with him and Judy.

He'd tell a rock about cluster headaches - that's how much of an advocate he was for all of us.  Over the past couple of years, I've forwarded his scale on to a few professionals here and there so that they know what we mean when we say "Kip...so and so" when talking about our pain.

He was such a great guy - loved him like a grandfather even though we haven't been in touch in some time now.  And for that, I'm sorry... Sad

I truly hope he has found peace now.  No more pain.  No more beast.

Godspeed Kip...love you,
