The beast said hi this afternoon

I've been pretty much PF since April 2005. I've had shadows few times, but they've been mild and lasted like two minutes.
But this afternoon was different. I had a busy day and a 3 h long lecture about newspapers and their audiences. The lecture had been going on about an hour and half, when I begun to feel the familiar pain on the left side, where my ch usually comes. So, nearly the whole reminding lecture the beast was there...  Luckily for me the pain wasn't that bad, a kip 2, but when you're in a room with 100 other people, no breaks and no meds along, it was hellish...
I'm just glad that it's over... Now, I'm optimistic, so I think of this as a reminder and nothing more. It was horrifying to feel the pain again, but I must admit that I'm proud of myself. I didn't panic, didn't get stressed about it or nothing I thought I'd do if the beast returned. I've had nearly 10 months PF time and I still think consider myself PF. Now let's hope that that won't change anytime soon...

So far, so good.
You know, I used to be bit scared when I thought about this spring beforehand. There has been talk about chronics having cycles within a cycle and one of the worst times in my ch history was in late February/early March. But now... today's reminder took away that fear. So every dark cloud does have a silver lining.
