How does one...

keep birds from flying into their windows? The back of my casa is dominated by huge floor-to-ceiling windows on both floors. Already this morning 4 birds have bounced off just the main window of the side room I am in. My back patio often looks like a stunned bird ward. Any thoughts? We have bird feeders in the back yard... those are not helping the problem.

4 birds... I don't know what to say to that. Back at our summer cottage, each year bird or two will fly into one of our windows. Sanna

WINDOW CLINGS You can get them for $1-$2 a sheet. Just don't buy ones of butterflies, as they will try to eat them.

| Melissa's option is what I would recommend - Some type of pattern on the windows will alert birds to the danger. Have a friend with wrap around windows done in thin nearly transparent line patterns who was tired of dealing with dead/dazed birds on the deck. Reportedly they work well but an occasional bird still gets knocked sensless. Tom

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.

I'm not sure what a window cling is, but my first thought was to hang some sun catchers here and there. They are pretty, as well as functional in keeping the stray bird, and stray human, from trying to pass through glass. Or, don't wash your windows Sandy
