Bush has decided that "switch grass" is the answer to our alternative energy needs. Wouldn't happen to be a lot of "switch grass" in Texas would there?

Oops got that message wrong -- I thought he said, "switch TO grass!" (Thought it was a damn good idea - take a trip and never leave the farm!) I'm OLD -- guess the ears are the next thing that's going..... Hugs BD

| I don't know, think of this. If Marijuana was legalized, less people in jail, it would be cheaper, and could be taxed all to shit while saving on the war on drugs fund. Sounds all positive to me, but it ain't happening.

Chesus. Old Wall Eye says "switch grass," and the marajuana smoking section does a triple wave. Oi. Don't get side tracked. I heard that "switch grass" comment, and didn't have an idea in hell what Wall Eye was talkin about. Google it quick, and it's some type of fucking Marsh Grass (often sold decoratively by arborists, et.al.) that's now SUPPOSED TO BE PART OF OUR NATIONAL ENERGY DIRECTIVE?? What fucking planet...........I mean, I never heard of the shit before the Big Speech. Wish I could go back and listen to that part again......without wretching. Again. Switch grass. Cheesus. What's wrong with kudzu, or acres and acres of hemp plantations supplying our energy needs for generations to come. Rope should be cheap. Switch grass my ass. RJ

We are thinking of switching from St. Augustine grass to centiped grass - it saves energy cause it needs less watering and less fertilizer. On a more relevant note, lets hear that big sigh of relief that Bush didn't really mean what he said - the day after his big speech, his Secretary of Energy backpedalled: Quote: ... In a conference call with reporters, Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman explained that what the president said was "purely an example." ... The State of the Union speech is vetted by all the top branches of government. Surely they must have known that what the president was going to say wasn't quite factual. Maybe they thought most Americans would be taken in by the emotion of the comment without questioning its validity. They might be right.
