What a week...

Sorry I've been quiet, folks, it's been a doozy of a week. First, Dave was in the hospital with pneumonia last Tuesday-Thirsday. He's doing very well now and has most of his strength back. Then Sunday night I started feeling REALLY badly at work. Short of breath, pain and squeexing sensation in my chest, felt like I was goona pass out. So it was off to the ER for me (boy, ambulance rides are FUN, eh?) Luckily I'm out of cycle, so the nitro didn't give me a HA... they admitted me and gave me a stress test and did some cardio imaging yesterday... my heart is healthy as an ox. Now I just need to find out what's causing this. Making an appt with the doc today. I'm thinking maybe it's GERD or something, but MAN was that unpleasant... Hope all of you are well, and I should be just fine. Joe

Hi Joe, Its always lovely to hear from you but I do wish it was with better news hon! I'm glad to hear Dave is on the mend, that must have been a worry for you, Pneumonia is no joke, I've had it myself and I know our DD is struggling with it at the moment too. As for you, not knowing is the worst bit but its VERY good to know your heart is fine. Stick around a while, its not the same here without you. Lots of love Helen XXX

I hope you feel better. I thought I was having a heart attack once, I was told it was an anxiety attack. Stress will do it every time.

Hope it was a one time thing. There is an esophageal thing that feels like a heart attack, squeezes and hurts like hell. Had it once and only once. Thought I was a gonner and went to the ER. I guess it's one of those things that don't often reoccur. Have to wonder if you had that. Let us know how yer doing. Charlie

Try for acid reflux -- feels like a damn heart attack, but is just indigestion big time. Hurts like hell tho..... Spent several times in ER with it till I finally figured out what it was and got some Pepcid (cheaper than ER and all that bologna). Stress will bring it on also. Take care of yourself and check in more often -- we miss you... Hugs BD
