I tipped the scales at 214. By the end of May I was at 175. By the end of June I was at 180. (I love donuts by the way) Today I remain at 180 - 182 depending on donut intake and the occassional Milky Way bar. I've also been able to ditch Blood Pressure and cholesterol meds. If I could just ditch ole fuckstick I'd be way ahead of the game -- hell, I'd settle for episodic. I must admit I'm proud of myself. Off to Krispy Kreme. Later!

Now it's my turn. I haven't had a smoke in 2 months and 8 days. I weighed 184 when I quit and I now weigh in at 206. I've gained weight so fast my pants have stretch marks. When summer comes, it's time to get in gear and get some excersize.

| That's funny!! Sorry about the weight. Congratulations on the smoking. That is what worries me about trying to quit again.

| And Echo, my bald friend, I am so very proud of you too. You keep it up you hear? Let us know when you have the urge to eat too many spamburgers, fries with that, ice creme, or do-nuts. There is always someone here who will talk you through the cravings. Wish there was someone here to help me with cigs.......... Linda

Awesome Echo!!! Remember, one thing at a time! After you've had the weight off for at least 6 months to a year, THEN quit smoking. After I went from 230 to 165 (yes, I've gained 13lbs since Nashville, but at least I'm maintaining now), I then quit smoking. It was approx. 1 year ago Jan. 23rd that I had quit (for the 2nd major time). AND I made it through a CH cycle without lighting up! S'all good... FANTASTIC JOB!

Congratulations Echo! I know how hard that is!! Have a big plate of steamed veggies and only 1 donut-makes cheatin' guilt-free EEB- great job on the quitting. The weight will come off but for now you can B-R-E-A-T-H-E. my turn: 2 years ago I was a whopping 150! (remember, I am under 5 ft tall so I was huge!) The first year, I took off 15 lbs. Then last year, beginning Jan 1, I finally got off my ass and took charge of my health again- and got down to 118 by March 30th. I've gained 3 back, but sure beats the hell outta roly-poly 150!!
