Just a short whine.

Because I know this is the place you can really get away with it. And believe me I know there are many worse stories than my own with chronic conditions etc.. but:
...it just pisses me off that I spend the entire year eating right, exercising , and generally trying to take care of myself and this comes along and rips it all away in a couple of months, every year for the last fourteen. It gets even harder as you get older.
I.ve been PF for about 18hrs now, less exhaustion mental confusion and the like, and I am hoping, again, that this years cycle is coming to a close. I will start climbing the hill to relative health again. Of course, I still have to taper off the pred, Verapamil, Topamax, etc, etc, etc., blah, blah, blah
Done.

Well since you kept it short....we'll let you slide. I get the "it's just not fu*&ing fair" attack about halfway thru my cycle. Then you grind a few more centimeters off you molars and gut it out. Hoping your next remission is just around the corner.

I just found this site this year after fourteen lonely years with this affliction, and it was a tremendous comfort to me through many dark nights. If my cycle is in fact done for this year, I will not just leave this site behind and I will not forget any of you. I will be checking in as part of my regular routine and lending support where I can. I cry whenever I read the stories of the pain that you endure because only a clusterhead truly understands what you go through.
All of you, be PF and strong, and thanks for helping me in my time of need. I will be there for you.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
