Any body had any bad reactions to this stuff? Taking 500mg 3x a day for a raging sinus infection and I feel like Mike tyson is kidney punching me.

I never did well on that stuff. I don't recall rabbit punches yet I do recall feeling like garbage. My last Sinus & Ear infection I honestly neglected due to thinking it was CH stuff, kinda ironic the years of being treated for sinus problems when it was CH that I didn't think about it when it was actually an infection. They put me on OMNICEF. Super strong stuff which did not have any side effects. It wiped out infection rapidly.

Amox is natorious for dealing out bowel issues, as it messes with the balance of bacteria in the colon that is natrualy there. Can cause an overgrowth of yeast in the colon. Be glad you are male, because for us ladies it can also cause yeast infections in other places...

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Amoxicilian works great for me, better than the expensive stuff. Cheaper than dirt. However it is penicillin based. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/medmaster/a685001.html Sulfa drugs work well on ear and sinus infection also and don't cost an arm and a leg!

I'm allergic to sulfa drugs.... Last time I was given sulfa was for a bad kidney infection, and I broke out in welts and measles looking type rash both. Was my first experience with prednisone taper to clear up the double rash...I looked like I had lepracy....

I use it on the pets...cat of mine for chronic ear infections and he had a fever.....then he developed chronic yeast infections that got worse in his ears which about finished him off cuz he started to loose alot of weight and one thing led to anouther. Problem with sinus infections if not treated is they tend to keep comeing back......but usually each time a bit less intense. Still is a long process to go thru tho. One outwieghs the other Pam I try to use that stuff only when I think it is vital they get antibiotics in them for the pets.....too many things cause side effects that start such a snow ball effect that's symtoms become worse then the main problem that started it all. Hopein my cat never has to go thru that again........hope yer sinus doesn't either !!!

I only used it for fish. Gets rid of ick or some such disorder. Maybe that's why my fish always died.
