I am so very, very sad about this. As you probably know we have had our fair share of mining disasters here over the years, including the beyond awful Aberfan misery (Google that one for a horror story) where a whole mining village was bereauved. It always seems too that mining communities are so very close knit too, shared danger and shared privations. From the International press stories we hear here though, it seems to be reported that the horrendous mistake was to delay telling the families (for 3 hours??) that the "good news" was a mistake because they didn't know the name of the one miner who had survived. Beyond awful for the relatives. W the B
