Guess who's back?

CH started around this time last year, but of course then did not have a clue what it was, lasted about 3 months (acutally 87 days, but who's counting), then just stopped as fast as it started. Talked to my Doc and after every test known to man and a few more, he decided to label this beast CH and we should wait and see what happens next. Well, next is here. I'm a 63 year old male and according to the statistics the probability of CH at my age is slight to none (I've always been a trend setter). This site has been a Godsend to me and occasionaly take a peek at the message board and gain some solace in the process. My symptomology seems classic, with shadows, but peaks never above a 7 or so on the Kip scale and I'm thankful for that. Just rambling along here, but feel a part of this community even though I have not participated in the ebb and flow of coorespondence. Take care, Phil

Hi Phil Barry from down under here, sad you have to be here but it's a great place to talk with others like us and share our world. Nice to see another old fart here i'm 56 and got it about 6 years ago, can't call myselfe a trend setter though. Only got classified late last year and found the site early this year and boy what a relief ( Best drug I found ). Hope to see more posts PFD's Kind Regards Barry

Hello Phil, It is a pleasure to talk to you sir. However you have scared me with the fact that you are 63. I am 35 and and been fighting these CH's since I was 18. So what scares me is that I may be still fighting them when I'm 63. In all honesty, I don't think I can endure another 30 years of these. I do hope for your sake that you don't have to fight them for to terrribly long. I f I can be of any assistance or help, please feel free to get in touch with me. I don't have solutions but I can listen and maybe be a punching bag via computer. Anyway good luck. Scott

Unsolved thanks for the link. I checked it out and your right, it's extreamly well written and very, very informative. Furthermore, I'm going to make it available to my Dr., who by the way, practices at the La Jolla, CA VA Medical Center and is as good as they get. He is on the faculty of UCSD Medical School and two of his esteemed collegues (neurologists) said "naw this old fart - thanks Barry - is to old for CH to start, must be something else". So much for the experts. Nightowl, thank's for the feedback and I appreciate your comments. Just remember that everyday is a blessing and when you awake in the morning and have to look down to see the grass you know It's going to be a great day! Phil L
