Neurofibromatosis--Any Connection?

Have you even heard of it? This is a neurological disorder/disease, involving the whole body. There are tumors--internal and external--overgrowths of nerve endings. It's genetic. Progressive, incurable--tho they have identified the marker on the gene that causes it and are working towards a cure.... It's terribly complicated. Anyway..I have it, I have numerous tumors (external) but one was found last year on the surface of my brain behind my right eye (headache side!!). These tumors, while generally begnign can become malignant. Oh how cheery! Anyway. I'm just wondering if anyone here is familiar with NF and has any thoughts as to a connection. Thanks. Marion
