hello, Im new here so... I thought id make a quick post. About 6months ago i had my first cycle, Last week it started again and i thought i was gonna die, plain and simple. I went to the doc who diagnosed me as suffering from CH (not the chronic variety thank god) As i knew nothing about what it is i have i googled it and voila, found this site. Im glad ive found some people who can grasp the concept of how much pain is involved. Luckily the medication they gave me seems to work well for me. Stay cool

Hello! Nice to meet you! Are you in cycle at the moment? (I'm dead nosey - comes from being an ex-Londoner y'know ) What meds are you on when you are in cycle? Theres loads here for you to read up on and also on the OUCH UK site which is really good as it has the meds etc you can get prescribed in the UK as well as nice people of course! The OUCH UK annual conference is in London in June and it might be of interest to you to come along to that as well so do be sure and have a look. In the meantime, pull up a pew and tell us a bit more about yourself Best wishes for PFDANS Helen (exiled in Nottinghamshire)

Good information: WWW.MELDRUM.DEMON.CO.UK/migraine. At bottom of home page, look for FAQ on clusters: four sections of extensive material; strong on treatment options.

Yes i am in a cycle hopefully it will only last for another 7days, My first cycle lasted a little over 3weeks then i was fine for about 8 months. During my cycle the big hitter tends to come at night. Waking up in tears at 2.00am is my speciality. Oh how i wish i could sleep, I've been given tramadol. It helps good with the shadows but it dont think it makes a dent in the big boy. I dont really know about treatments apart from that my doc said tramadol was good first med to try.

kisoon ask him to try o2 its unbelievable I promise you! Look on the OUCH uk site at the list of meds, you might want to consider imigran injections too if they won't conflict with your general health, they aren't suitable for everyone. Under o2 on ouchuk look at the CD oxygen. They are tanks with inbuilt regulators which are quite small but perfect for both trying o2 and for taking round and about with you. Its my first choice for an abortive every single time. Tramadol will potentially give you rebounds too and you don't want that! Keep your chin up.. we'll help you get through this Helen
