Hello I'm Winni.  Does anyone else have atypical (pain all the time) Trigeminal Neuralgia along with cluster headaches?

Hi Winni,

Not sure of what you're describing, but it sounds somewhat like what we call "shadows."  When I'm in cycle, I have a continuous, low grade pain in my temple (usually a kip 1-3).  You'll find the pain scale to the left of your screen.  That shadow pain is usually with me all cycle.  If it ramps up a little, I can sometimes knock it back with a strong caffiene boost.  When it ramps up within minutes to a kip 8-9, I've already reached for the Trex inject.

In addition to the constant shadows, when I'm at the peak of my cycle, my left temple is tender and swollen to the touch.  Too bad we can't live without that trigeminal nerve!

Hugs, and hope you feel better soon,

Kris

You bet, winni! By the way welcome to the site. Sorry about your pain. Hope you can find some info in here to help make life more manageable for you. What is your pain like? How often is it showing up? What meds are you currently taking....etc? Best wishes, Joe
