Welcome cocoman...you're not alone. Tell us more about yourself. Look the boards over... lots of info here. You'll also find a lot of support if you need it. Pain free wishes, nani (    who grew up in the Bronx    Wink   )

Welcome cocoman.
Sorry about your condition. New to the site myself. Everyone here are such a big help. Hopeful that what you gain here will give you as many pain free days (PFD's) as possible. I'm with Nani on all of her advice (A1). Blessings, Joe

Thanks Nani and Joe for responding

I have been using the Oxygen as I work for a medical facility but when I am awy from work, I have to simply bare it and take the terrible pain.  I just started the water thing but I am going to the bathroom tooo much.  My episodes occur only on my right side and I experience the pain in the eye and jaw bone.  My right eye tears throughout the entire attack.  I also have sensitivity to light.  I just rock back and forth until the pain leaves.  I get the headaches so sporadically that I cannot tell when I am in the middle of a cycle.  I have gone 2 days with out a headachea and then I habe gone 1year without one.    I was wondering does anyone know about any thing that triggers the headaches.

If you are not taking any other meds now may I suggest that you look here for something promising that a few of us are trying. Read through the whole thread (yes, it's long) it's worth it.

Also, triggers are different for many of us. Keep a headache diary . Time, duration, intensity, what you ate, etc. That may help identify your triggers. Alcohol is a very common trigger here. Good luck...look around the site and boards here and learn as much as you can. Info is your best weapon.

HI, I AM NEW HERE TOO.  OXYGEN HELPS MOST OF MY ATTACKS.  SOME SEEM WORSE AND OXYGEN EITHER TAKES VERY LONG OR WORKS NOT.  YOU SAID YOU HAVE IT AT WORK.  SO DO I.  I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET A PORTABLE TANK TO TAKE HOME WITH ME.  TRY TO FIND A MEDICAL SUPPLY THAT WILL RENT OR SELL YOU TANKS AND REGULATOR AND WILL REFILL FOR YOU.  I KEEP TWO TANKS WITH ME AT HOME.  THEY DONT LAST A LONG TIME.  YOU WILL NEED A NON- REBREATHER MASK FOR BEST RESULTS.  I ORDERED MINE ON THE INTERNET.  USE SEARCH.  I AM TRYING TO GET AN "H" TANK WHICH IS BIGGER AND NEEDS A DIFFERENT REGULATOR SO I WILL HAVE LESS FILL UPS.  THE SMALL HELP ALSO BECAUSE YOU CAN PUT IT IN YOUR CAR AND HAVE SOME KIND OF BETTER LIFE.  GOOD LUCK\

Welcome to the board cocoman. Read as much as you can. There are tons of threads about triggers and yes most of us are different in that aspect. As nani said do keep a journal if you can it helps pin point things for you and if you have a patient doc it helps them know more about what you're going through, after all most have never had one of these darn things.  You said that you only have relief at work and that you just have to deal with it at home. How come? Let us know as much info as you can so we can help.

Take care and hope you stay pf!
