Huh
I am new to this site, have been doing a lot of research about this kind of headache, since my first attack about 3 months ago.  I have been a migrain sufferer since I was about 7 years old.  I now have learned how to quickly end a migrain without the use of presription drugs, all it takes is hot water and aspirin (I will share techniques if anyone is interested).

Anyway, LSS, I got the most intense pain I have ever had on the same side of my head that ALL my headaches occur, in the middle of a sound sleep.  I thought I was having a stroke, but I could still function.  The worst part other than the feeling of having a bolt driven into my temple was the intense feeling of heat/pressure.  I was in a daze and tryied to play it off, and as soon as it started it was gone.  Hence I thought I had a stroke, but I was Ok like NOTHING had happened.  Then it happened again, at the same time, a week later, then again at the same time.  It was on a cycle, still is.  I get mine every Tuesday morning at 7am.  I hate that part of a cycle, because since I fear it, I think it happens.

I have made a apointment with my neuroseurgon I havn't seen in awhile, since my migrains went from 4-5 times a month to maybe 2 times a year.  Now this happens.  The only blessing in this horrible pain, is that it is short lived, maybe 30 minutes maximum, unlike the 6-12 hours for a migrain.

I can't even begin to describe the pain, it's like nothing I have ever felt before, nothing takes it away, none of my normal migrain/normal headache solutions work.  If this sounds like anything anybody else has expierenced please let me now.

That has to be the most specific cycle I have ever heard of.

Do you sleep in on Tuesday morning (or otherwise change your normal routine)? When my CH started I only got attacks on Saturday mornings because that was the only day I slept past 7. Once a week....those were the days.

Glad you found the site. Seems like there's alot of different styles of attacks and yours sound like a classic. I just pull myself across a wooden floor with my fingernails while I scream at my wife to knock me out with a bat. Doesn't help so I'm starting to look at other options Roll Eyes Hopefully science will come up with a sure fire cure someday SOON. Was misdiagnosed for over 20 years so I am just now learning how others are managing or not to get through these.
Best wishes and PFD's. Joe
