I just finished syphoning 21 bags of DHC histamine thru my veins. Much like I have read here, mentioned that I was ready to go home, and out the door I went with a stack of scrips and an $18,ooo bill for the stay Huh  So I'm at home fed up and discouraged. I have Oxygen, imitrex , lidocaine, verapamil, depakote etc, and the thorazine shuffle. My wonderful wife is taking it all in stride. I on the other hand am starting to fear that my once episodic ch have become chronic. It's much like I've read on this site that the more you utilize a particular abortive, the less it tends to work. An analogy would be how the antiobiotics have become less effective in our modern "We've got a pill for that mentallity". Now I am finding it necessary to piggy back my meds to achieve the same relief, which is a 6-7 shadow(on scale of ten). Next I'm injecting pain relief or muscle relaxers . Shadow drops to a 3-4, and I can endure. Where should I go now? Thanks for all and any suggestions in advance.

Welcome Newbie.
Just found this site today myself. Know how you feel. Been through Methadone withdrawl twice, 2nd time almost killed me, and was taking 8 different meds. Been chronic for over 10 years and am almost never out of the shadow. I just try to stay as low on my present dosages as I can, and I know you will get plenty of great advice here at the Clusterheads. Hang in there. Better days. Joe
