Hi. Are there any co-clusterheads from South Africa? I am a great animal lover, with an adopted female cat, a cocker spaniel bitch with an attitude and Stepmom to a Great Dane bithch that thinks she's a miniture chiuaua. I would like to chat about meds & treatments in SA. I get my oxygen from Afrox, and can really recommend their service. I am battling to get a Non Rebreather mask, anyone know about a supplier?

Look to the left for the "where we live" button (below the second yellow bar) - follow that to the 58 SA clusterheads that have registered. The most active person I can think of from SA is jmorgan52 - he stops in several times each year.

Hi there Lili-Laura, It's great to finally meet someone on line from SA. I see that you do not live that far from me. I stay in Boskruin, Randburg.. I am also a cluster headache sufferer and love animals, especially dogs and cats. Although, I can't keep any cats as I have two huge rotties whom I adore! They are unfortunately and fortunately very possessive and protective and won't allow for any other animals in the home Please tell me what treatement have you been on and are you a cronic sufferer or eposodic? I am eposodic, usually once a year. Although I was pain free for two years in a row, then it hit my very hard last year. I had to be hospitilized at the Linksfied Clinic where my nureosurgen resides - it was an awful experience! That is where I learned about the oxygen treatment. I see that part of your treatment is also oxygen... I was on various drips and injections and oxygen while in hospital. When I left, I was on a treatment for three months. This is my first month without medication! My treatment was Inderal, Arthrexin, Propain Forte and because I have an active peptic ulcer, I had to take Zantac in high dosages. Please tell me who is your doctor and what treatment do you take? My nureosurgen is at the Linksfield Clinic and his name is Dr. Iann Wynberg. A really great doctor! Hope to hear from you soon and welcome to the group. It's great here - this website was my life-saver. Unfotunately I could not find any such support in SA, which is such a pity but at least we have this site now The people are just wonderful and very supportive so don't hesitate to ask questions or pop in when you feel depressed over the 'beast' .. there are people here who have had a long history of clusters and are very experienced and thoughtful and willing to help... Enjoy and welcome .. Lv: Susana
