Hi All,
I just signed on after reading posts for the last 2 or 3 hours. I know what you all are going through. I had clusters every 18 months from around  April 1983 to sometime in 1992 or 1993. Somehow I have  lucked out and been pain free for the last 12 or 13 years. I do wonder if they will come back. I had headaches every day for a couple of months, and then they would go away for a year and a half. It's annoying when people say you bring them on yourself by worrying about them. But how can you not worry? They totally rule your life. The last episode I had at least was not as bad in that I had only 1 or 2 a day for about an hour each. I didn't know they were clusters until after I didn't have any more. The neurologist I saw wanted to treat them as migraines. The only way I could cope was to tell myself that there was a certain amount of pain in the world, and that while I was suffering, there was a little kid somewhere who was in pain since he/she was born, that was having a pain free day. That I was taking his/her pain away for awhile. Sounds kind of odd. Psychological I guess. Otherwise, I don't know how I would have made it through the pain. Also, I would sit in a dark room listening to classical music turned down low and repeating to myself to relax. If they start up again, I will try the O2  I think. Thanks for listening.
Rusty
P.S. I did all the usual stuff also. MRI, dental x-rays, Ear, Nose, & Throat check, etc.

Hi Rusty...welcome and I'm sorry you're here. Lots of new info here (at least new in the last 12 years) so hopefully you can get some relief. Pain free wishes, nani
