That is what the Neuro will find out red...have you seen him yet? An MRI is what is usually run...it rules out the organic causes like a tumor. I understand your hesitation about such a thing, but most tumors are operable, and you could be rid of the pain. If it comes back normal then...well.... Have you seen a neuro yet?

| Yep, could be a tumor. But, it's probably not. And if it is a tumor, be grateful you find it now and not later when it gets so big it pushes your brain out your ear.

The MRI shows more info. I was brave enough to ask one of my neuros what the devil he was looking for and could I look with him(this is a good idea) in my first MRI in 2002. Sure, they are looking for giant blob-like things, but odds are if you've got one, you would have known it by now. My neuro was also looking at the size of the arteries at the base of my neck as well as signs of smaller things like patches of white/grey that might indicate MS(I have wierd migraines too) or some other neuro cause. As usual around here, he didn't find anything except my brain. I was very nervous about mine too and I'll admit I made one huge mistake. I was given the films from the MRI place to transport to the docs. And the mistake I made was to look at them MYSELF before I got there. There was a giant white blob under my right eye and I was freaking out. When I asked the doc nervously about it he chuckled and said I must have had a stuffy nose that day because my sinus slightly full. (prob a ch day) Good luck! Let us know what happens. -lionsound
